ALLEGRA GIVENS
Allegra is a compassionate teacher and dedicated student who embodies all that she teaches. Her mindful and grounded approach to teaching yoga focuses on accessibility and proper alignment, while offering an experience that is both challenging and playful.
From a young age, Allegra was inspired by her yogi-mom to foster an asana practice. She quickly developed an admiration for yoga and began practicing next to her mom in classes meant for adults. After learning she had scoliosis that caused frustrating back pain, her yoga practice shifted to focus on healing through building strength, increasing flexibility, and showing up with curiosity.
Allegra continues to return to her mat as a devoted yogi. As a student, she practices Vinyasa Flow, Iyengar, Ashtanga, and restorative/yin practices. Her years of practice, study, and motivating passion leaves students feeling inspired and stress-free. Through guiding group classes, private sessions, workshops, and children's yoga, Allegra provides a safe environment for students to practice in alignment with their unique truths, so they can move with compassion and tap into the highest version of themselves.
Allegra completed her 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rajasthan, India with The School of Yoga led by Joan Hyman. She holds a 200 hour certificate from The School Yoga Institute, where she studied Vinyasa and Hatha yoga in the Sacred Valley in Peru. Additional trainings include Trauma-Informed Breathwork and Guided Meditation with Behind the Lids in Orange County, California.
